Prior to graduating in 2017, Rumen was deeply involved with various aspects of the School of Architecture, including tutoring, curating and publishing the yearbook, chairing the Student-Staff committee and volunteering. He was also nominated for the Part II Hardian Medal and the RIBAJ MacEwen Award for his design and live-build work during his Masters. In practice, Rumen has worked across a variety of sectors including higher education, retail, commercial and residential. Upon joining Trehearne, he brought a wealth of experience in BIM delivery on a variety of projects across RIBA stages 2-6. A passionate disciple of logic and precision in design, Rumen is always keen to explore novel presentation methods and techniques. His interests also include scripting, analogue encryption and the peculiar interface between design, data and modern technologies.
