20-24 KIRBY STREET

A beautifully detailed variegated brick facade design for this existing building located on the corner of Kirby Street and St Cross Street in the London Borough of Camden.

The proposals provide a base level of workshop accommodation within an entrance-level brick podium with Crittall-style windows that relate to the character of the area. Above, the brick facades are broken down into a rhythm of vertical bays with feature panels set into the fenestration.

The proposed two new upper-most floors are set back from the line of the main building below, creating external terracing, and are conceived as predominantly glazed enclosures for visual lightness. Decorative metal cladding provides further detail.
