Proposals for a major refurbishment of an eight-storey City office building located on the northern approach to London Bridge. The design was intended to re-image a particularly tired and dated facade and included visual ‘beacons’ at each corner to raise the prominence of the building within its surroundings. The proposals increased the nett lettable area within the existing envelope and a new reception area, with a scale and style commensurate with a property of this size and in this location, was proposed to replace the existing underwhelming small corner entrance.
