23-39 Eastcheap

Client: The Thackeray Estate

This group of buildings is located within the Eastcheap Conservation Area. 23-29 Eastcheap and 31-35 Eastcheap are Grade II and Grade II* Listed buildings respectively, with 37-39 Eastcheap not being listed but making a positive contribution to the character and appearance of the conservation area. The buildings have been comprehensively refurbished to create high quality ‘Cat A’ offices and the highly articulated façades restored to their former glory. By developing a close working relationship with the City of London planning officers, we have managed to secure permission to create an additional storey of office accommodation behind mansard roofs on 23-29 and 37-39 Eastcheap. Permission has also been granted for the fifth floor of the Grade II* Listed building to be extended at the rear to create additional office accommodation.
