15 Blue Lion Place
Client: The Electoral Reform Society
15 Blue Lion Place will be the new headquarters for The Electoral Reform Society, a long-standing resident of the London Borough of Southwark. This new-build development is located off Bermondsey High Street, replacing a redundant former coal shed. Reclaimed brick and timber of varying tones, prominent amongst the historic warehouses and tanneries in Bermondsey, are utilised to deliver a striking envelope aesthetic. Married with Crittall-type glazing and exposed services, the proposal delivers industrial-style architecture befitting its location. The project completes the overall development of Blue Lion Square, sitting comfortably side-by-side with both new and old interventions in the area.
